Property Location: Grand Champions Resort is within the Wailea Resort community, and borders the Wailea Blue golf course and Wailea tennis clubs. The hotels, shops and beaches of Wailea are within walking distance. The Shops at Wailea have a variety of upscale shopping, including a convenience store. Major grocery stories are located in Kihei, just a few minutes by car.

Property Description: The Grand Champions Golf and Tennis Villas are particularly well suited to golf enthusiasts. The complex is surrounded by the award winning Wailea Blue golf course and is immediately adjacent to the "Wimbledon of the West" Wailea Tennis Club. Ranked in the "top 50" best resort tennis facilities, the club boasts 11 plexi-pave courts, (3 courts with lights for night play), a stadium court and a full service pro shop. Guests of the Grand Champions receive discounted golf/tennis rates during their stay. Other nearby amenities include beaches, luxurious hotels, shopping, spa facilities and award winning restaurants.

The property has 188 one, two or three bedroom units in 19 two or three story buildings. Units are rated as gardenview or partial oceanview. Although a few units have quite lovely views, most of the partial oceanview units will only have peaks of the ocean, beyond the hotels which line the coast.

The Grand Champions property has two pools with hot-tubs, one near the 7th hole of the Wailea Blue Course, and the second in the heart of the complex. Each pool area has showers, restrooms and BBQ facilities.

Unit Description and Amenities: These units are fairly spacious, and have in-suite laundry, window style A/C, modern fully equipped kitchens (fridge, stove, dishwasher, disposal, microwave), ceiling fans, telephone, and cable TV/VCR. All units have two full bathrooms (including one bedroom units). Each unit has a lanai with outdoor table/chairs, great for relaxing with a book, or outdoor dining.
NOTE: the third bedroom in the three bedroom units is quite small, and best suited to children.

NOTE: In addition to the units available through several rental pools, we also have several private owners with upgraded units that are available to our guests. Many guests prefer this option, as it will guarantee a specific unit for them.

Disabled Guests: Most units at Grand Champions are NOT ideally suited to guests with disabilities. There are no elevators to access the second or third floors, and many of the first floor units will have a couple of steps down to the entry of the unit.

Our opinion: This is one of the newer Wailea properties and truly enjoyed by most golfers. If does NOT offer the beach setting of Wailea Elua, Makena Surf or the Polo Beach Club.

Disclosures: Most guests will use their car to go to the beach. BUT, if you don't mind a 15 minute walk, you can certainly get there on foot. The pool areas tend to be small, and very close to the buildings.

CLOSEST Beaches: Although the Grand Champions is NOT on the beach, beautiful Ulua Beach is just a short walk from the property (15 to 20 minutes). Ulua was ranked 8th in the nation for beach quality and has great snorkeling along the rock outcrops to the right side of the beach. This beach has public access, and shower/restroom facilities. As with all Wailea beaches, there can be a bit of a shore break, particularly if Maui is experiencing a south swell.
