Property Location:  Oceanfront on Kaanapali Beach.

Beach Quality:  Although the section immediately in front of the hotel can erode, the lovely sandy section of Kaanapali Beach starts just a hundred feet away.  Kaanapali Beach is one of Maui's most beautiful beaches. Plenty of golden sand, great for walking, swimming and snorkeling.  NOTE:  Can experience considerable "shore pound".

 
Hotel Description and Amenities:  The Hyatt Regency Maui sits on forty acres, with pools, tennis, health spa, fitness center, five restaurants and shopping. Championship golf can be found at the oceanside Kaanapali Golf Course. The resort offers a 150-foot waterslide through twin waterfalls, into a romantic Grotto Bar.  Guest rooms include a private lanai.

Each room features: Individual climate control air conditioning (automatically shuts off when the lanai door is open),TV with remote control, cable movie channels, in-room pay movies and games, voicemail and data port, AM / FM alarm clock, full bath amenities, (shampoo, conditioner, gel, hairdryer), bathrobes, daily turndown service available on request, iron and ironing board, refrigerators on request, in-room safe, 24-hour Room Service available,  private minibar.

Children's Program:  Our younger guests can have fun with supervised activities for children ages 3 to 12 daily from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.   Camp is also offered nightly from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Reservations required.

Our Opinion:    In comparison to other Kaanapali hotels, the Hyatt has one of the better pools.  However, it is NOT as "grand" as the water features at the Grand Wailea.  This is a "nice" hotel, with a great Kaanapali setting.  In our opinion, the rooms are somewhat "average".
