Beaches: The North
Shore is a quick ten to fifteen minute drive down the hill. The
North Shore beaches are beautiful, but can be windy
in
the summer. Wave season on the North Shore is fall/winter/spring.
These beaches are more "local", and you will definitely not feel like a
"tourist".
The swimming beaches of Kihei, Wailea
and Makena
are located on the South Shore, and will be approximately 30 to 45
minutes
by car. |

Maui is truly for those that
want to escape the commercial areas
of Maui, and experience the peace and tranquility of the "local"
lifestyle.
The Banyan Tree house is a unique two acre property, offering a three
bedroom/three
bath main house, and four detached bedrooms with bathrooms. Each
unit can be rented individually, or the full property can be rented for
a total of seven bedrooms/seven bathrooms. The property can also
be rented as an event site.
Although there are partial views
of the ocean from the Banyan Tree House, the hundred year old trees and
landscaping are the main view features. The Main House features
wood
floors, a commercial type kitchen, large living room and sun
room.
The Cottages sit to the back of the main house, and each is a
self-contained
unit. These are perfect when extra space is needed for a larger
group. |

opinion: The
Banyan
Tree House is the perfect location for a small group or family
gathering.
It has quick access to Makawao town, and is only 12 minutes down the
hill
to Paia. We love it's restored "Kaamaina" style, and the tasteful
grounds and furnishings. |
